Horologia Terms of Use
Effective date: October 10, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Farrukh Khakimov, the individual developer of Horologia ("we", "us"). They apply to the Horologia app and to our server at horologia.app ("Horologia"). By using Horologia, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
1. Using Horologia
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Horologia to manage your own watch collection, including watches you buy and sell, on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules.
You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you aren't, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you.
2. Your account
You don't need an account to use Horologia. If you sign in with Apple, you can sync your collection between devices and keep an encrypted backup on our server.
Your collection is end-to-end encrypted with a key that only your devices and your recovery code can unlock. Keep your recovery code safe. We don't have your key or your recovery code. If you lose all your devices and the code, we can't restore your data from the server.
You're responsible for what happens on your devices and with your Apple Account. Tell us at support@horologia.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.
3. Free and Pro
Free includes every core feature for up to 10 watches in your collection. Your wishlist and sold watches don't count toward the limit. Free includes 3 AI scans and 500 MB of sync storage.
Pro removes the watch limit and adds the features described on the App Store page and in the app, including documents, the PDF dossier, the theft or loss kit, value history and full statistics. Pro includes 20 GB of sync storage.
AI scan limits. Pro subscriptions include up to 50 AI scans per calendar month, Lifetime up to 30. AI costs us money for every scan, and these limits keep it available for everyone. We may raise them at any time. We won't lower them for a period you've already paid for.
Your data is never locked. If you have more than 10 watches without Pro, for example after a subscription ends, everything you added stays yours to view, edit, log wear on and export. Only adding new watches requires Pro.
4. Purchases, subscriptions and trials
- Purchases are made through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Apple charges your Apple Account and handles payment.
- Subscriptions (monthly or yearly) renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Free trial. If the yearly plan includes a free trial, you'll be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Lifetime is a one-time purchase of Pro for as long as we offer Horologia. It's not a subscription and doesn't renew.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We can't issue refunds ourselves. If Apple refunds a purchase, Pro from that purchase ends.
- Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy. Apple will tell you in advance about any subscription price change as its rules require.
- Family Sharing is available for Pro. A purchase shared with you works on your devices but isn't linked to your Horologia account.
- Pro on your account. If you buy Pro while signed in, it's linked to your account and works on your other devices signed in to the same account. One purchase can be linked to one account at a time.
5. Your content
Everything you add to Horologia, including photos, documents, notes and data, stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run Horologia: to store and transmit encrypted copies of your content when you use sync, and to send the photos you choose to our AI provider when you use AI identification.
You're responsible for your content. Only add photos and documents you have the right to use, and don't use Horologia to store anything illegal. Because your collection is end-to-end encrypted, we can't see it.
6. AI identification
AI identification suggests brands, models and references from your photos. Suggestions can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. AI identification doesn't verify that a watch is authentic and doesn't estimate its value. It's optional and works only after you agree to send photos (see our Privacy Policy).
7. Values, dossiers and other information
- Values are your own estimates. Horologia doesn't provide market prices or appraisals. Check price opens a third-party website; we don't control what it shows.
- The PDF dossier and the theft or loss kit compile what you entered. They don't guarantee that an insurer, the police or anyone else will accept them or act on them.
- Nothing in Horologia is insurance, financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Statistics such as cost per wear are calculated from what you enter.
- Service and warranty reminders depend on the dates you enter and on notifications being enabled on your device.
8. Sync, backups and keeping your data safe
We work hard to keep sync reliable, but no software is free of errors. Export a backup from time to time (Settings → Your data). The archive includes your photos and documents and doesn't depend on our server.
If you reach your storage quota, new photos and documents stay on your device until space is available. Nothing is deleted.
9. Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law or anyone's rights using Horologia;
- interfere with, overload or attack our server, or access it other than through the Horologia app;
- reverse-engineer, copy or resell Horologia or our server, except where the law allows it;
- use AI identification for anything other than identifying watches in your collection or wishlist, or try to get around scan limits;
- use Horologia to store illegal content.
We may limit or suspend access to the server for accounts or installations that break these rules. If possible, we'll tell you first. The app and the data on your device keep working.
10. Third-party services
Horologia relies on Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, iCloud Keychain), Cloudflare (hosting) and Anthropic (AI identification). Links to marketplaces and other websites lead to services we don't control, and their terms apply.
11. Changes to Horologia and to these terms
We improve Horologia over time and may change or remove features. If we change these terms, we'll publish the new version here with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can stop using Horologia and delete your account.
If we ever shut down the server, we'll give at least 90 days' notice in the app. The app will keep working on your device without sync, and you can export everything.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Horologia at any time. Delete your account in Settings → Sync → Delete account, and your data on our server is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
13. Disclaimers
Horologia is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI suggestions will be correct or that it will meet every need.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to Horologia is limited to the amount you paid for Horologia in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you're a consumer, you keep all the rights that consumer protection law in your country gives you.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict of laws rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in its courts.
Before going to court, please email us at support@horologia.app. Most problems can be solved that way.
16. Apple App Store terms
If you got Horologia from Apple's App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Horologia and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Horologia.
- If Horologia fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Horologia.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling claims relating to Horologia, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If someone claims that Horologia infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Horologia.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
